Travel Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – Emergency Department
Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts 02601
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Evening (3:00 PM–11:00 PM or 4:00 PM–12:00 AM)
Schedule: 24 hours per week, rotating evenings
Travel Rate: $2,243 – $2,498.50 per week

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Travel Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – Emergency Department for an exciting job in Hyannis, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical assessments of patients presenting with acute behavioral health needs in accordance with Department of Mental Health (DMH) standards.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with psychiatrists and the interdisciplinary care team.

  • Facilitate individual counseling, family interventions, and group therapy sessions.

  • Lead discharge planning and coordination to ensure safe and effective care transitions.

  • Arrange post-discharge resources, including community-based services, residential placements, and outpatient supports.

  • Serve as a liaison among patients, families, and community partners to improve access to behavioral health services.

  • Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and follow-up for recently discharged patients.

  • Maintain thorough documentation and collaborate with managed care providers for service authorizations.

  • Ensure compliance with CMS, DPH, and DMH regulations.

  • Provide coverage for inpatient and partial hospital behavioral health programs when needed.

  • Participate in community education and outreach activities.

  • Demonstrate consistent professionalism, empathy, and service excellence.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active Massachusetts LCSW licensure

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Current BLS certification

  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training

  • Knowledge of community mental health resources and relevant regulatory standards

Preferred:

  • Experience in emergency department or acute behavioral health settings

  • Proven expertise in crisis intervention and discharge coordination
