Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our team. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing professional guidance, oversight, and support to other social workers, including interns, by reviewing their clinical work, offering feedback on case management, ensuring ethical practice, and facilitating their professional development, all while maintaining a reduced caseload of their own to focus on supervisory duties; essentially acting as a mentor to help less experienced clinicians improve their practice within the scope of their licensure.
Key responsibilities of a LICSW Clinical Supervisor:
- Clinical Supervision:
- Conduct regular individual supervision sessions with supervisees to review caseloads, discuss client progress, and address challenges and develop diagnostic assessment.
- Provide feedback on clinical interventions, documentation, functional assessment and treatment plans.
- Monitor adherence to ethical and professional standards in practice.
- Assist supervisees in developing their clinical skills and addressing complex cases.
- Caseload Management:
- Maintain a reduced clinical caseload to dedicate significant time to supervision.
- Review and sign progress notes, ensuring proper documentation.
- Staff Development:
- Identify areas for professional growth and provide targeted training and development opportunities.
- Offer guidance on navigating challenging situations and ethical dilemmas.
- Facilitate peer supervision or team meetings to foster collaboration.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Conduct staff evaluations and performance reviews
- Participate in agency meetings and contribute to program development
- Stay updated on relevant clinical practices and regulations
Required Qualifications:
- Licensure:Active and current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license in the state of practice MN.
- Experience:Significant experience in clinical social work practice, including experience working with diverse populations and complex cases
- Supervision Training:Completion of a recognized clinical supervision training program
- Strong Clinical Skills:Expertise in various therapeutic modalities, crisis intervention, and case management
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Internship
Pay: $38.36 - $43.82 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
