JOB SUMMARY
Provide administrative and staff supervision including individual and group case consultation, coordinate client care among the disciplines, and provide direct client services.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provides direction to and oversight of Program Counselors in the implementation of the treatment curriculum and delivery of program services.
- Assists counseling staff in dealing with counseling issues and problematic participant behavior.
- Schedules all participants into treatment activities and supervises the administration of the treatment needs assessment process of all newly arrived participants.
- Supervises the Program Counselor's activities and monitors treatment plan development Designate new target goals for clients consistent with overall treatment goals.
- Initiate appropriate and timely interventions.
- Ensures groups and classes are conducted as scheduled/participant attendance/absence is documented.
- Monitors all aspects of program counseling service delivery operation to ensure adherence with contract requirements, standard operating procedures and MHS Personnel Manual.
- Under guidance of Program Manager, it reviews program participants' charts for completeness and accuracy.
- Supervises accurate data collection, compilation and record keeping.
- Assists Program Manager in writing reports.
- Conducts individual counseling and case management on a fill-in basis or for purposes of supervision or training.
- Facilitates groups and educational classes on a fill-in basis as needed.
- Keeps current by reading memos, directives, meeting minutes, and revised policies and procedures.
- participates in self-evaluation process.
- Supervises the provision of quality care by ensuring compliance with standards of care and by participating in program quality assurance activities.
- Comply with all MHS and program rules, policies and procedures including HIPAA standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s in social work or related field and one year of experience in supervision counseling staff in a substance abuse program OR bachelor’s degree in social work and two years of experience on supervising, counseling, and treatment for substance abuse population.
- Certification through a recognized alcohol and drug certification entity plus two years’ experience working with alcohol and drug related issues/addictions.
- Experience working with alcohol and drug related issues/addictions.
- Working knowledge of substance-abuse programs and treatment. relapse prevention/ knowledge of cognitive therapy techniques.
- Experience in individual and group psychotherapy.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and EHR software.
- Knowledge of cognitive therapy techniques, SUD programs and treatment, relapse prevention, and 12 step programs
- Ability to set priorities, problem solve and react appropriately to emergency situations.
- Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and solve problems in a timely manner.
- Highly organized, thorough, and able to self-monitor work for quality.
