About the Company


Hello! We are currently in need of one Full-Time Remote Adult Psychiatrist for Utilization Management in Oakland, CA.



About the Role


  • Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Length of assignment: 6 months or long term with interest in becoming permanently hired
  • Schedule: Full-Time – 40 hours, 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday schedule - may be remote except 1st Tuesdays of the month for in person staff meetings/trainings
  • Additional Note: At this time, we are limiting the search to ONLY local candidates.


Responsibilities


  • Ongoing review of UM Functions and monitoring for trends, concerns, and network adequacy
  • Support with clinical training for Medi-Cal medical necessity, Case studies and Interrater-Reliability
  • Utilization review includes initial review by LCSW/LMFT clinical staff. If services are denied, secondary review and final approval are needed from Psychiatrist before decision is rendered.
  • Scheduled as Primary Reviewer 3 days per week, with backup support as needed
  • Peer to Peer Hospital Reviews for cases where there is hospital disagreement
  • Client has an E.H.R., Clinician's Gateway, so candidates must be computer literate.


Qualifications


  • California licensed Psychiatrist, Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry
  • Looking for someone who is willing to learn and can be flexible with changing county needs along with changing state and federal requirements.


Pay range and compensation package


  • $250/hour
  • Malpractice Insurance Included
