Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Qualified Mental Health Professional to provide comprehensive mental health services across diverse populations. The ideal candidate will deliver evidence-based therapies, conduct assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans to support clients' mental well-being. This role involves working in outpatient and inpatient settings, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote recovery and resilience.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and patient intake procedures using ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT coding standards.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling utilizing modalities such as psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavioral therapy.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety.
  • Develop and monitor personalized treatment plans aligned with clients’ needs, including those with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, chronic pain, and gender issues counseling.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical records.
  • Engage in case management activities to coordinate care across healthcare providers and community resources.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote counseling services when appropriate.
  • Stay current with medical terminology, ICD coding updates, and behavioral health research to inform clinical practice.
  • Participate in clinical research projects or data collection efforts aimed at improving mental health interventions.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, hospitals, and other stakeholders to support holistic patient care.

Skills

  • Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and art or dance therapy.
  • Strong experience with crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and working with individuals experiencing PTSD or other trauma-related conditions.
  • Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities—including autism spectrum disorder—and diverse populations requiring specialized care such as Geriatrics or pediatrics.
  • Familiarity with medical documentation standards and medical terminology related to behavioral health.
  • Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and billing purposes.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient assessment and social work activities; proficiency in telehealth platforms preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Experience in research or data collection related to mental health outcomes is a plus.
