Job Description:Emerald Coast Behavioral is currently recruiting Inpatient Psychiatrists for their Inpatient programs in Panama City, FL.provides acute psychiatric services in a secure and nurturing environment to ages 12 and older who are in a crisis. With confidentiality and sensitivity, our allow patients to begin treatment in an intensive and secure environment where they are cared for 24 hours a day by our team of compassionate and highly trained professionals.Our inpatient programs provide protection from harm to self or others, medication support and therapy with the goal of stabilizing acute symptoms as quickly as possible, so our patients can continue treatment in a less restrictive .Experience life in a vacation destination:

Position Requirements:
  • BE/BC in General Psychiatry required. BC preferred.
  • Active or eligible for FL medical license
  • Commutable distance or candidates that are in FL are preferred.
  • Comfort with seeing ages 12 and older is required.
Ideal schedule:
  • Fixed schedule – for example, either every third weekend of the month, or the first and third weekends, depending on availability.
  • On-call coverage begins Friday at 8am CST and ends Monday at 8am CST. Saturday and Sunday require on-site presence, while Friday coverage can be managed by tele. The role primarily involves conducting initial psychiatric evaluations, with follow up visits and very rare discharges. We don’t typically discharge on the weekend but it can happen from time to time.
