Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated counselor to join our team and support the well-being and development of our students. The School Counselor will play a crucial role in providing guidance, counseling, and support services to students, fostering a positive school climate, and collaborating with educators and parents to ensure the overall success of our students. This is a network position, meaning you will have the opportunity to work with all grade levels across multiple schools.

Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address academic, personal, and social-emotional needs of students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to identify and address students' unique challenges and create effective intervention plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to students experiencing emotional or behavioral issues.
- Assist students in developing academic and career goals through individualized counseling sessions and relevant assessments.
- Conduct classroom presentations on topics such as career exploration, study skills, and social-emotional learning.
- Collaborate with the school's special education team to support students with diverse learning needs.
- Monitor and track students' academic progress, attendance, and behavior, and implement appropriate interventions as needed.
- Stay informed about community resources and refer students and families to external support services when necessary.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current on best practices in school counseling.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive school counseling program.
- Collaborate with the school counseling department supervisor to develop programs and meet the needs of students across the network
- Master's degree in School Counseling, Clinical Mental Health, Social Work or related field. (If masters degree has not yet been obtained, be able to show enrollment in an accredited program)
- State licensure or certification as a School Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, School social worker, or other similar licensure.
- Previous experience in a K-12 educational setting, preferably in a charter school.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of counseling techniques, career development, and social-emotional learning.
- Ability to approach all situations with a solution oriented mindset.
