Mobile Crisis Response services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to provide for rapid response, assessment and early intervention to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Services are deployed in real-time to the location of the individual experiencing a behavioral health crisis.

The purpose of this service is to i) de-escalate the behavioral health crisis and prevent harm to the individual or others; ii) assist in the prevention of an individual’s acute exacerbation of symptoms; iii) development of an immediate plan to maintain safety; and iv) coordination of care and linking to appropriate treatment services to meet the needs of the individual.

Community Crisis stabilization services are provided on a short-term basis as determined at the time of the assessment. Services are not to exceed 14 days at a time and typically occur for 4 hours per day. In addition to direct client care, Counselors are responsible for coordinating services according to clients’ treatment plans, facilitating, engaging families in crisis intervention and stabilization services to provide complete wrap-around services, and facilitating admissions and discharge preparation from the program. Experience providing Community Crisis Stabilization services and/or knowledge of community mental health services and resources are preferred for this position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Be available to provide services during the day, evening, weekends and holidays. Provide and maintain an acceptable driving record.

· Have access to and ability to use a computer, printer, internet services, and other necessary items and equipment to produce electronic program documentation/paperwork.

· Maintain communication with Program Director and other Administration through e-mail and cell phone usage on a daily basis.

Shifts are 6am-6pm

Academic/Work Experience

The individual must:

· be LMHP, LMHP-R, LMHP-RP, LMHP-S, QMHP-A, QMHP-C, QMHP-E, CSAC*, CSAC Supervisee* or CSAC-A*

· Virginia Board of Counseling Certification

Required Training

Staff must be trained certified in: Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, Mobile Crisis Counselor, TOVA and become orientated to the company guidelines, policy and procedures, and take part in staff trainings as they occur.

Additional Requirements:

Employee must be certified as tuberculosis free; Employee must clear criminal background and CPS registry checks

Position Responsibilities

1. Reports directly to the Clinical Director and Program Director.

2. Be available for 24 Hour Emergency Crisis Response to assigned client

3. Documents each client’s progress throughout the day and records all interventions used to assist individuals.

4. Develops and executes behavior modification strategies.

5. Assess, evaluate and monitor the safety of the client and others at all times.

6. Provides case management duties and service coordination in collaboration with treatment team members.

7. Exercise appropriate intervention in accordance with the least restrictive alternative to protect client from harming self or others.

8. Monitors and assists in the development and implementation of but not limited to social, skills, independent living skills, interpersonal relationships, problem solving, anger management, medication education, impulse control, healthy communication skills, etc.

9. Coordinates or assists with crisis intervention and stabilization services as appropriate.

10. Provide one-on-one behavioral support services to clients experiencing a crisis jeopardizing their current placement.

11. Ensure that every Incident Report is completed immediately after the incident and submitted to the direct supervisor or Director the same day

12. Develop and implement plans for discharge including mobilization of resources for ongoing maintenance, rehabilitation & recovery.

13. Is responsible for the proper and timely documentation of all information required by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.

14. Complete progress notes on a daily basis.

15. Attend mandatory bi-weekly and monthly meetings and supervisions and required trainings as scheduled.

16. Identify individuals who need services.

17. Other duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
