Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Psychologist to join our team, with offices located in Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. This role requires ownership of a reliable vehicle and the ability to travel to various office locations on different days as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and demonstrate expertise in various therapeutic modalities. The Psychologist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to support the mental well-being of our clients. Our company has multiple offices in Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. This position requires possession of a vehicle and ability to commute to different locations on different days.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine clients' mental health needs.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and psychotherapy.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client, including those with PTSD, autism, and addiction issues.
  • Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients during critical situations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, documenting patient assessments, treatment progress, and outcomes.
  • Supervise interns or junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support in clinical practices.
  • Participate in research initiatives aimed at improving therapeutic practices and understanding mental health trends.
  • Provide telehealth services to ensure accessibility for clients unable to attend in-person sessions.
  • Work closely with schools to support students' mental health needs through counseling and intervention strategies.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure to practice as a psychologist.
  • Experience in PSTD counseling.
  • Familiarity with behavioral health practices including crisis intervention, psychological testing, and patient assessment.
  • Knowledge of various therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy.
  • Strong understanding of medical records management and HIPAA compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
