```Duties```
As a Counselor, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic support and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities seeking assistance with various personal and emotional challenges. Your duties will include:
- Conducting patient assessments to determine their needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques
- Providing counseling and support to individuals dealing with behavioral health issues, or other mental health concerns
- Conducting diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' mental health conditions and develop appropriate interventions
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as behavior therapist and psychiatrist
- Implementing behavior management strategies to help clients develop coping skills and improve their overall well-being
```Experience```
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and qualifications:
- A degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field with a license approved by the Illinois Department of Human Services
Accepted licenses:
- licensed clinical psychologist
- licensed social worker (or clinical)
- licensed marriage or family therapist
- licensed professional counselor (or clinical)
- Previous experience in counseling or therapy, preferably in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and interventions
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation procedures and assessment tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with clients and build rapport
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in the field of counseling
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $34.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
