Summary
The Drug and Alcohol Counselor or Group Facilitator works closely with each of the clients, Clinical Director, the Program Director, and the Medical Director on an individual basis providing assistance in the areas of group facilitation, individual counseling, case management, curriculum development, discharge planning, transition planning, and general servicing of clients at a Residential Level of Care.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Follow all state of California rules and regulations concerning standards of care.
- Works with Medical Director, Clinical Director, and Program Director.
- Strictly enforce and support persons served rights and confidentiality of information as required by HIPAA.
- Promote and maintain good communication and cooperative working relationships with staff, family members, and related treatment team persons.
- Demonstrate consistent and comprehensive knowledge of skills required to perform job duties and responsibilities.
- Participates in the documentation of behaviors and communicates to supervising staff promptly.
- Completes Clinical Assessments.
- Facilitates Group Counseling
- Facilitates Individual Counseling, Case Management
- Works closely with Clinical Team on client health status and presenting conditions.
- Work closely with doctors to assure a clear and concise line of communication
- Follow daily shift responsibilities as designed by the company.
- Crisis intervention and/or the initiation of emergency protocol if needed, including CPR and calling 911.
- Support and implement The Company's philosophy with reference to all program components and persons served personal dignity.
- And, other duties as assigned.
This Position is a part time, non-exempt role that reports on site Thurs-Saturdays, 9am-3pm. The rate is hourly and will require pre employment screening.
