This position provides a great opportunity to start or advance your career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). As a Behavior Technician, you'll work directly with children and families to implement individualized ABA programs that promote learning and development. Sessions may take place in clients' homes or during community activities, depending on individual needs. Typical hours are Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with flexibility to accommodate personal schedules. Pay ranges from $20 to $27 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Bilingual applicants fluent in Spanish are eligible for a higher rate.
Responsibilities
Behavior Technicians are essential in helping children strengthen skills such as communication, social interaction, and independence in everyday routines. The role focuses on applying evidence-based strategies to teach new skills and reduce behaviors that may affect safety or independence. Candidates with backgrounds or coursework in psychology, education, social work, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Success in this role requires reliability, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting clients as they gain confidence and improve their quality of life.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of car insurance that lists the technician on the policy. Additional requirements include providing a negative TB test, and demonstrating professionalism, creativity, and strong communication skills. The position also requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and collaborate effectively with team members. Incentive Pay Structure
- $1/hour raise after maintaining consistent availability for 90 consecutive days
- Additional $1/hour raise upon successfully earning RBT certification
Cancellation Policy
To protect staff time and earnings, we maintain a clear cancellation policy. Paid cancellations are provided for up to 2 hours of pay if a client cancels within 30 minutes or less of the scheduled start time and/or technician has already departed for the session. We also actively monitor and address excessive client cancellations to protect technician schedules and maintain consistent hours.
