Psychotherapist (Social Worker or Psychologist)

Long Island DBT Group is looking for a licensed therapist with training & experience in DBT and/or CBT to join our expanding private practice. The candidate can be a licensed clinical social worker, licensed mental health counselor, or a licensed clinical psychologist. We are also looking for a candidate who has experience in trauma treatment. EMDR experience is highly desirable.

We are a long established and growing private practice in Manhasset, NY providing comprehensive DBT, CBT, and EMDR trauma treatment. This position offers multiple opportunities to work with individuals (adults and/or adolescents), families, and groups; as well as the ability to create your own flexible schedule. Along with weekly consultation team meetings, weekly supervision and on call support is available as needed to ensure that every therapist is supported and provides effective treatment. Stipend for intensive DBT training is provided as well.

Minimum Requirements:

-Licensed Masters Degree in Social Work (LMSW) or Licensed Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC) with at least 2 years clinical experience post graduate school.

Preferred Requirements:

-Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD) from New York.

-Experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
