Job Title: Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Location: Various Schools in the Culver City

Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in a school-based float pool capacity. This role is ideal for individuals currently working in substitute or floater positions within a school district who are looking to specialize in behavioral support services. The ideal candidate will be CPI certified and will receive training and supervision from our internal Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Behavior Technician Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred.
  • Current RBT certification (only required for RBT's).
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification.
  • Experience working with children or individuals with special needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional.

Behavior Technician Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans developed by the BCBA.
  • Provide direct 1:1 or classroom-based support to students.
  • Collect and record data on student progress and behavior.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
  • Utilize CPI techniques to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors.
