Personal Training Counselor

Job Summary
The Personal Training Counselor plays a vital role in guiding clients on their fitness journeys by providing expert advice, personalized training programs, and motivation. This position requires a strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics to effectively design programs that meet individual client needs. The Personal Training Counselor will work closely with clients to enhance their fitness levels and achieve their health goals within a supportive gym environment.

Duties

• Conduct initial assessments to determine clients' fitness levels and goals
• Design personalized training programs tailored to individual needs and preferences
• Provide instruction on proper exercise techniques and body mechanics
• Offer guidance on nutrition and lifestyle choices to support fitness goals
• Lead group fitness classes and provide engaging instruction
• Maintain knowledge of current fitness trends and methodologies
• Foster a positive and motivating environment for clients during training sessions
• Participate in health club promotional events to drive fitness sales and membership growth
• Collaborate with other fitness professionals to enhance client experience

Skills

• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics
• Proficiency in program design for diverse fitness levels
• Experience in sports coaching or personal training preferred
• Ability to teach physical education concepts effectively
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and group settings
• Sales experience within the health club or gym industry is advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $25.00 per hour
