Job Position: Sr. Behavioral Health Counselor

Essential Functions:

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions
• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Offer crisis intervention and support
• Collaborate with psychiatric providers and other healthcare professionals
• Provide the licensed master social worker (LMSW) with oversight and guidance in diagnosing and treating patients
• Review and evaluate the professional work of the licensed master social worker (LMSW)
• Provide at least two hours per month of in-person individual or group clinical supervision for the licensed master social worker (LMSW)
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in EMR
• Educate patients and families about mental health and coping strategies
• Advocate for patients' needs and rights
• Coordinate with community resources and services
• Participate in continuing education and professional development
• Administrative supervision of all assigned staff ensuring diagnoses and treatment plans are meet Rendr’s standards.
• Clinical supervision of all assigned LMSW staff of at least 2 hours per month in order to assure clinical protocols are met and are in compliance with governing bodies and other guidelines.
  
  

Qualifications:

• NYS active LCSW is required.
• Bilingual Chinese Mandarin/Cantonese required.
• Able to make professional evaluations, decisions, and recommendation for treatment planning and implementation.
• Supervision experience is a plus, not required.
• Behavioral Counseling: 5+ years' experience preferred.
