At Bayside Sod, we are committed to being Florida’s leading provider of quality sod products and services. We produce over 700 acres of sod as well as provide delivery and installation services. We are launching a Turf Care division to expand our value to customers through year-round care and maintenance. This new division will deliver professional fertilization and pest control services that align with our reputation for excellence and sustainability.
Role Summary
The Turf Care Division Manager will be the founding leader of Bayside Sod’s new Turf Care service line. In the early stages, you will personally handle customer treatments while simultaneously building the systems, documentation, and workflows to scale the business. Over time, your role will transition into a management position where you lead a team, oversee route operations, and drive profitability.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a start-up-like environment, has deep knowledge of turf and ornamental care, and is excited by the challenge of building something from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
· Service Execution (Year 1): Perform all fertilization and pest control services to high technical and customer service standards
· Route Development: Establish efficient routing using turf care software (e.g., PestPac, RealGreen, or FieldRoutes)
· Process Documentation: Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), treatment plans, and service logs
· Customer Success: Achieve 90%+ customer retention through proactive communication, education, and consistent service delivery
· Division Scalability: Identify and implement systems that allow the division to grow without compromising quality
· Team Collaboration: Coordinate with the install and delivery teams to provide a seamless experience for customers
· Compliance & Quality Control: Maintain accurate application records, follow state regulations, and ensure proper product use
Required Background
· Proven experience in lawn and ornamental turf care, including fertilization, pest control, and plant health
· Hands-on field operations: route planning, solo service work, and customer-facing roles
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and problem-solve in dynamic settings

· Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership
· Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and organizational habits
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Comfortable using or learning route/service management software
· Ability to balance fieldwork with foundational administrative tasks
Preferred Qualifications
· Owner has CPO license so this is NOT needed in this role.
· Experience launching or running a service division or solo operation
· Familiarity with CRMs or route software like FieldRoutes, PestPac, or RealGreen

· Fully operational turf care service with software in place
· Standardized treatment plans and service schedules documented
· Consistent customer retention over 90%
· Positive collaboration with other Bayside Sod teams
· Foundation laid for scaling — ready to onboard additional technicians
Compensation & Benefits

· Total salary plus bonuses = $70-80k in year 1 with opportunity for $100k+ by year 3
