Behavior Technician

Behavior Technician (School-Based, 1:1 Support)
Dream Builders ABA is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team and work with a 4-year-old client in her school setting at Kegotank Elementary School, 13300 Lankford Highway, PO Box 28, Mappsville, VA 23407.

Position Details:

• Schedule: At least 4 hours per day between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Setting: In-school support (with possible in-home hours as needed)
• Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Implement behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs developed by a BCBA
• Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
• Support the client with daily routines and skill development
• Apply evidence-based ABA strategies to promote learning and positive behaviors
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using a provided tablet
• Collaborate with the BCBA, school staff, and caregivers to ensure consistent and effective support

Requirements:

• Passionate about helping children succeed
• Experience working with young children or individuals with special needs
• Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
• Strong communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working in a school setting
• Able to use technology effectively for data collection and communication

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
