Behavior Technician (School-Based, 1:1 Support)
Dream Builders ABA is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team and work with a 4-year-old client in her school setting at Kegotank Elementary School, 13300 Lankford Highway, PO Box 28, Mappsville, VA 23407.
Position Details:
- Schedule: At least 4 hours per day between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- Setting: In-school support (with possible in-home hours as needed)
- Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs developed by a BCBA
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
- Support the client with daily routines and skill development
- Apply evidence-based ABA strategies to promote learning and positive behaviors
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using a provided tablet
- Collaborate with the BCBA, school staff, and caregivers to ensure consistent and effective support
Requirements:
- Passionate about helping children succeed
- Experience working with young children or individuals with special needs
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Strong communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a school setting
- Able to use technology effectively for data collection and communication
