Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is essential in providing support to clients in their daily activities, promoting skill development, and enhancing their overall quality of life.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Provide patient care and support to clients, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence.
- Collect and maintain accurate data on client progress and behavior changes.
- Educate clients and their families about strategies for managing behaviors effectively.
- Maintain detailed medical records and documentation as required.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans based on client needs.
- Engage in special education techniques to support learning and development for children with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages client engagement and participation.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
- Familiarity with data collection methods related to behavior analysis.
- Ability to educate clients and families on behavioral strategies effectively.
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them accurately.
- Experience in special education settings is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
