Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Associate Therapist (Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Associate Social Worker, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor) to join our team. This role is ideal for a motivated, client-centered professional who is eager to build their clinical skills in a supportive private practice environment.
The Associate Therapist will provide therapy to couples, adolescents, and families, focusing on relational dynamics, communication, and personal well-being. Supervision will be provided by a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, couple, and family therapy in alignment with treatment goals.
- Conduct intake assessments and create collaborative treatment plans.
- Maintain timely and accurate progress notes and documentation.
- Incorporate strong theoretical foundations (e.g., Bowen Family Systems, CBT, DBT, Attachment Theory, Structural/Strategic, etc.) into clinical work.
- Participate in regular clinical supervision and professional development.
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to a supportive, growth-oriented practice culture.
Qualifications
- Active registration in California as an AMFT, ASW, or APCC.
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
- Strong theoretical background in therapy models for couples, teens, and families.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining professional ethics and standards of care.
- Ability to work independently and manage a full caseload.
Compensation & Schedule
- $30/hour, full-time position (approximately 25-30 client hours per week).
- Flexible scheduling within practice hours.
- Weekly clinical supervision provided.
