Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to supporting children and families in need, providing guidance and resources to enhance their well-being. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders, including families, schools, and community organizations, to ensure that children receive the necessary support for their development and success.

Duties

  • Conduct assessments to determine the needs of children and families, focusing on child welfare and protective services.
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans that address specific needs in areas such as behavioral health and special education.
  • Provide crisis intervention and management services to families facing immediate challenges.
  • Collaborate with educational institutions to support students' social and emotional needs, ensuring effective teaching strategies are in place.
  • Facilitate counseling sessions that promote cultural diversity awareness and conflict management skills among families.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions with students, documenting progress and any changes in circumstances.
  • Advocate for children's rights within the community, ensuring access to necessary resources and services.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about best practices in social work.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of child protective services and child welfare systems.
  • Proficient in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies.
  • Experience working with children in various settings, including childcare or educational environments.
  • Familiarity with behavioral health issues affecting children and families.
  • Excellent conflict management skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive situations effectively.
  • Ability to teach coping strategies and life skills to children and families.
  • Understanding of cultural diversity counseling principles to support diverse populations.
