Recreation Therapist
Correctional Facility – Represa, CA
Pay Rate: $72/hr.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team in a correctional/rehabilitation setting. You’ll design and lead therapeutic recreation programs that support rehabilitation, encourage positive leisure activities, and strengthen coping and social skills.

What You’ll Do

• Plan and implement individualized recreation therapy programs
• Support patient rehabilitation through structured therapeutic activities
• Conduct evaluations on daily living, communication, and coping skills
• Collaborate with clinical teams during IDTT meetings
• Maintain documentation and ensure quality care

Requirements

• 12+ months of recent experience in a similar setting (internships not accepted)
• Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation
• Supervised fieldwork approved by NCTRC or CBRPC
• Current, valid licensure/certification as required
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
