Job Description:

THERAPIST

Reports to: Chief Clinical Officer

Summary:

The primary goal of the Therapist is to help those struggling with interpersonal/relationship issues. The main role is to develop a humanistic and empathetic relationship with those who are struggling. This process will help promote trust and growth with clients who are faced with personal, family and social crisis. Therapists will demonstrate mastery of scope of practice as evidenced by measurable performance evaluations of direct client services and written documentation skills:

  • Substance abuse and relapse.
  • Coping with difficult life changes.
  • Developing and maintaining intimate relationships.
  • Rebuilding relationships.
  • Family conflicts.
  • Loneliness, depression, or anxiety.
  • Grief and loss
  • Understanding of process/behavior addiction

Completion of all client process duties and/or documentation within timelines:

  • Licensed Therapist will participate in monthly consultation/peer group supervision, at minimum
  • Therapists are to attend weekly clinical program meetings and ongoing/continuous educational training on documentation to medical necessity. This will include mastery of ASAM criteria based on insurance based medical necessity criteria for all levels of care in continuum of care provided in agency.
  • Daily contact per work days assigned as well as weekly interdisciplinary treatment team attendance to collaborate with all members of staff to provide continuity of care.
  • Responds to all social service needs, requests by physicians, legal issues, and family needs.
  • Required documentation in chart according to policy time lines to include: bio-psycho socials, master treatment plans, individual, family, group sessions, weekly status review transition/discharge plans and other clinically indicated documentation.
  • Therapist’s skills will be measured by management through regular routine quantitative and qualitative chart audits. Chart audits will reflect clinically appropriate content and timeline benchmarks of completion.
  • Clinical updates to family and/or referral sources (as allowed via client consents).
  • Regular sessions with clients, as assigned conducting individual, family and group therapy.
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Observe, evaluate and report on behavior, attitudes general emotional stability clients and their family members to help assist in treatment planning/discharge planning by assessing social needs of individual clients including referrals to outside providers after transition to outpatient therapy.
  • Records all interventions and interactions with the client, family and community agencies through progress notes in the chart/electronic medical record with master treatment plan guiding services.

Experience and Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid license to practice
  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience in substance abuse and dual diagnosis residential treatment facility preferred.
  • CBT and evidence based experience a plus
  • Experience with trauma and eating disorders preferred.
  • Must have a completed TB Test, CPR/First Aid Certification, COVID-19 Vaccination, and Health

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year
