ACTS is growing! We are seeking compassionate, driven individuals to join us in making a lasting impact through meaningful work during the Spring 2026 Internship Program!
Location: The internship program will perform duties at client service-oriented programs including secured facilities, residential programs and/or scattered site housing around the greater Tampa Bay area.
What You'll be Doing?
Working under supervision of the assigned field instructor or designee, interns:
Complete admission and orientation documentation; may administer or interpret screening/assessment instruments.
Develop treatment or service plans, which include services to accomplish.
Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling
Make referrals to community resources, including social, legal and educational providers.
Attend scheduled interdisciplinary treatment team meeting or clinical supervisory sessions and discusses aspects of client?s care and progress (or lack of same); may participate in other meetings/events as assigned.
Report crisis situations and treatment needs of clients to clinical personnel and supervisor; recognize client?s comprehensive needs and discusses with interdisciplinary treatment team.
What is Required?
Currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree program in social work, counseling, psychology or other human services field and working under a formal learning contract or similar agreement with a university.
Ability to pass Federal, State, Local Law and Level 2 background clearances.
