Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. Applications are being accepted for the following vacancies for the Spring 2026 semester on the Adjunct Faculty staff in the Education and Social Sciences Department of Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, New York.

Department: Education and Social Sciences

Adjunct Instructor – Psychology, HV-ADJ-Psy SP26

Minimum qualifications: Master’s Degree in Psychology or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university and previous college teaching experience. Ability to teach on campus classes.

Preferred qualifications: Experience teaching online, hybrid, and in person classes.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide instruction in psychology including teaching general psychology and additional psychology courses at the 100 and 200 level.

Evaluate student performance and complete assessments as required by the College.

Collaborate with colleagues on course and program development as well as transfer course review.

Participate in departmental, division wide, and/or college wide committees.

At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
The per contact hour rate is $1,457.00. Classes start January 2026.
