Qualifications

• Valid New York State School Psychologist license

• Candidates holding a Provisional Certificate in School Psychology will also be considered.

• Strong knowledge of psychological assessments, intervention planning, and compliance with New York State Special Education regulations.

  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to identify student areas of need.

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to address students' unique learning and behavioral needs.

• Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.

• Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success.

• Offer on-site consultation and support to school staff on mental health issues and crisis intervention.

• Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide programs promoting positive behavior and mental health.

• Collect and analyze data to inform decision-making and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
