Patient Care / Cosmetic Coordinator Job Description
An Entière Dermatology Patient Care/Cosmetic Coordinator is integral in delivering patient care and service. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, commitment to customer service, sales, generating revenue, loves dermatology and skincare, and above all, has a caring patient-care attitude and shares an authentic enthusiasm for healthy skin, skincare, and cosmetic procedures.
Patient Care / Cosmetic Coordinator Responsibilities
- Manage incoming calls and answer patient questions regarding medical appointments, cosmetic consultation process, basic explanation of products and treatments.
- Answer all incoming calls promptly and in a professional and pleasant manner.
- Schedule appointments for new and returning patients.
- Be knowledgeable, passionate, and initiate sales process by scheduling appointments, for medical dermatology and cosmetic non-surgical dermatology procedures including, but not limited to, Botox, fillers, lasers, micro-needling, Coolsculpting, laser resurfacing, Ultherapy, photofacials, skin tightening, to educate patients about options during phone inquiries.
- Expand knowledge of existing patients by introducing new products and services.
- Create and nourish patient retention through education on additional products and services.
- Be knowledgeable in insurance types and the process of confirming patient eligibility.
- Collect applicable consultation fees, treatment payments, co-pays, co-insurance and deductibles from patients.
- Inputting patient information into electronic medical record.
- Verify benefits and inform patients of their respective insurance coverage.
- Maintaining daily schedule and limiting patient wait time.
- Administrative tasks to assist the physician(s) and office manager.
- Must be familiar with computers programs and data entry.
- Have a team player attitude and energetic, with outstanding organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work under stressful environment, while supporting the team.
- Assist in the recommendations of cosmetic procedures and skin care products.
- Have a genuine interest in skincare, dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology.
- Attend all education sessions for the staff pertaining to cosmetic procedures and skin care products.
- Perform tasks and duties as outlined by Operations Manager and physician(s).
- Become knowledgeable of healthcare administrative systems, billing, HIPAA and OSHA policies, pursuant to the federal, state and local law and Entière’s policies and protocols.
- Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities.
Patient Care / Cosmetic Coordinator Skills and Qualifications
- Education / Experience: Previous medical patient care or sales experience required.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, peers, and management with proper etiquette and professionalism.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to multitask, while being attentive to patients and remaining flexible to the needs of the business. Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision.
- Other Skills: Enthusiastic, passionate, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to help people and provide outstanding service.
