Duties and Responsibilities/Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
The primary responsibility of this position is to function as an independent Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Primary therapist within our Adult Health, Child Health, Maternal Health and Family Planning Clinics. This position provides in-clinic care that can include (but is not limited to) individual, group or family therapies and counseling for patients and their relatives within our medical clinics, using various clinical techniques (which can include play therapy) for those exhibiting symptoms of mental health and/or substance use disorders. The work includes complex assessments, differential diagnoses and the independent selection and use of varied in-depth therapies in the treatment of patients with acute/severe mental health and/or substance use disorders, and/or the use of SBIRT for those patients in need of a higher level of care. Preference is given to those clinicians with significant mental health treatment experience working with adults and children, as well as those with advanced training/certifications in the diagnosis and treatment of substance use disorders. Training and experience using Motivational Interviewing (Ml) is also preferred. Knowledge of Adult and Child Protective Services in North Carolina, and previous LCSW level work within a medical primary care setting, are also strongly preferred.
Necessary Special Requirement: Must fulfill all requirements for and be in possession of at the time of interview, Licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.
Desirable Education and Experience
Graduation from an accredited Graduate School of Social Work with a master's degree in social work and a minimum of two years of professional Clinical Social Work experience, as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.
Necessary Special Requirement: Must fulfill all requirements for and be in possession of at the time of interview, Licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.

Required Immunizations
The following are immunizations that we require for all employees prior to the first date of employment:
- Two step TST (skin test) If you have had a negative TST within the last 12 months, you must have another one completed prior to employment
- Proof of MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) immunity: You must have documentation of two doses of measles, mumps and rubella given at least 28 days apart or laboratory evidence of immunity or laboratory confirmation of disease
- Hepatitis B series: Either evidence of 3 doses; signed declination form or lab evidence of immunity
- Evidence of Tdap vaccine
- Evidence of varicella immunity: You must have documentation of two doses of varicella given at least 28 days apart or a history of varicella or herpes zoster based on physician diagnosis or laboratory evidence of immunity or laboratory confirmation of disease
