BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of a Behavioral Health Manager, provide evaluations and treatment to behavioral health clients and families under clinical supervision of a licensed Clinical Psychologist.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
The Clinical Psychologist I performs the evaluations and treatment for behavioral health clients and families under clinical supervision of a licensed Clinical Psychologist. The Clinical Psychologist II performs a full range of psychological evaluations, testing, and treatment and provides clinical supervision work direction and guidance to unlicensed psychologists and other assigned staff.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: PhD. degree in psychology.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be registered as Psychological Associate with the California Department of Consumer Affairs Board of Psychology.
Must be licensed as a Psychologist within six (6) years of employment. The registration and licensing requirements set forth in this job description are essential requirements of the position.
Valid California Driver's license.
A valid driver's license may be required at the time of appointment and employees may also be required to drive their own vehicle and provide proof of liability insurance as per Vehicle Code VC § 160020. Individuals who do not meet this requirement due to a disability will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
 This position may require pre-employment drug test, physical examination, and fingerprinting for a background investigation.
