What are we looking for in a Behavioral Health Specialist/ Licensed Clinical Social Worker?
The Behavioral Health Specialist II or Licensed Clinical Social Worker supports clients in adult residential treatment facilities with improving their recognition and management of symptoms, expanding their system of natural supports, and developing skills to live independently. Behavioral Health Specialists/ Licensed Clinical Social Worker support clients in their recovery by assisting with skill development, developing treatment and discharge plans, facilitating educational groups, and providing mental health assessments and evidence-based therapy. This position is located in Yakima; we offer a safe and supportive environment for patients to develop skills for long-term maintenance and control over their health. Each patient collaborates with the treatment team to develop an individualized care plan to outline goals and progress, help coordinate follow-up care, and ensure continued improvement after completing treatment at Waypoint.

Behavioral Health Specialist II/ or Licensed Clinical Social Worker duties may include:

Conduct initial face-to-face visit with the client within required timeframes.
Develop a comprehensive Behavior Support Plan (BSP) within 14 business days of the initial visit.
Provide consultation and training to residential care providers and staff.
Ensure BSP strategies are integrated into the client's Negotiated Service Agreement (NSA)
Conduct psychopharmacological evaluations within 14 days of service authorization.
Perform monthly medication reviews (face-to-face or via telemedicine).
Maintain detailed clinical records of all services, consultations, and training.
Report significant changes in client condition or incidents (e.g., hospitalization, death).
Track and provide client data for program evaluation upon request.

Schedule:
Monday- Friday 8AM-5PM

Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field leading to eligibility for clinical licensure
Must be eligible for registration as Agency Affiliated Counselor
Valid driver's license, vehicle liability insurance, and a safe driving record for the past three years
