About St. Christopher's Hospital for Children
St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, a partnership between Tower Health and Drexel University, is a 188-bed facility that provides exceptional care to children throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and surrounding counties.
In collaboration with a physician in the Sections of Psychiatry and Emergency Medicine, the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is a skilled mental health professional who is authorized to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals and families of all ages and economic groups. They treat a range of problems including behavioral disorders, addictions, sever mental illness and serious emotional disturbance. He/she is professionally responsible for completing a mental status exam/assessment/evaluation (MSE) and follow-up as necessary of a population of patients that matches her/his scope of practice. Essential competencies of the role include understanding and application of evidence based clinical practice, professional development, interpersonal communication, and quality improvement.
