We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, emotional, and social development. The School Counselor will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and community resources to address the diverse needs of students.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges.
• Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student needs and progress.
• Develop and implement behavior management strategies tailored to individual student requirements.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to create supportive learning environments that accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Offer academic advising to help students set educational goals and develop plans for success.
• Facilitate conflict management sessions to resolve disputes among students effectively.
• Engage with parents and guardians regarding student progress, concerns, and available resources.
• Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions, assessments, and interventions in compliance with school policies.
• Stay informed about child protective services and child welfare regulations to ensure student safety.
• Promote cultural diversity counseling practices that respect the backgrounds of all students.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $43.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
