Position: BCaBA (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst)
Reports To: BCBA / Clinical Director
Employment Type: 1099 Contractor
Position Summary
The BCaBA will work under the supervision of a BCBA to assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior-analytic programs for clients with autism and related developmental disabilities. This role focuses on supporting treatment plan goals, training and supervising RBTs, and ensuring high-quality, data-driven ABA services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and preference assessments under BCBA supervision.
- Assist in writing and updating treatment plans, behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and progress reports.
- Provide direct supervision, training, and performance feedback to RBTs.
- Collect and analyze client data, ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA and payer requirements.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to support treatment goals.
- Participate in team meetings and maintain clear communication with the supervising BCBA.
- Ensure ethical practice in alignment with BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance Code.
Qualifications
- Current BCaBA certification with the BACB in good standing.
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, ABA, or related field.
- Experience in ABA therapy (minimum 1–2 years preferred).
- Strong data collection, organizational, and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work in-home, school, or community settings.
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Experience supervising RBTs and delivering parent training.
- Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Office Puzzle).
Compensation
- Typical Range: $30 – $38/hour (depending on experience, region, and employment type).
