Overview

Bridge of Hope is currently accepting applications for full-time counselors and/or part-time group facilitators or assessment counselors at our Outpatient Treatment Center in NE Portland, Oregon.

The ideal candidate(s) will be compassionate, collaborative, and be able to achieve a high level of client engagement while utilizing a gender-inclusive, trauma-informed approach. The ability to create a safe, supportive, non-judgmental treatment environment where all individuals can share and grow will be essential.

Counselors must be skilled in helping clients at all stages of change navigate recovery and address the challenges they face while working toward achieving individual treatment plan goals. Counselors will be expected to deliver treatment services using evidence-based modalities, while operating in accordance with Oregon administrative rules and clinic policies.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough ASAM assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine the appropriate level of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client's needs and goals.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and management strategies for clients in acute distress.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, including client records, treatment progress, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including social work, medical staff, and community resources.
  • Engage in case management activities to support patients' recovery journey, including referrals to additional services as needed.
  • Provide education on addiction medicine, behavioral therapy techniques, and coping strategies for patients and their families.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Credentialed by MHACBO as a CADCI or CADCII
  • QMHA1 or QMHA-R preferred
  • May consider CADC-R candidates with group counseling experience for our group facilitator position.
  • Candidates must demonstrate therapeutic empathy for substance use disordered individuals and an understanding of the disease concept of alcohol/drug addiction.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a working knowledge of the DSM 5 and ASAM placement of care criteria.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working with individuals from diverse populations and deliver services while using a culturally-inclusive mindset.

Bridge of Hope's Outpatient Treatment Center is located in the Roseway neighborhood in Northeast Portland, Oregon.

Bridge of Hope is committed to providing exceptional clinical care for individuals who are struggling with substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders, including group and individual counseling services and medication management.

Bridge of Hope provides gender-inclusive, trauma-informed treatment services at the following ASAM Levels of Care:

  • Level 2.5 PHP/HIOP
  • Level 2.1 IOP
  • Level 1.0 Outpatient

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
