Part-time Behavior Interventionists BIs for 25/26 SY

Start Date: ASAP - June 11, 2026
Schedule: Monday-Friday, anytime between 8:00am-4:00pm
Caseload: Multiple caseloads Available

  • Tk: Roughly 20 hours/week
  • Kindergarten: Roughly 25 hours/week
  • Elementary: Roughly 27.5 hours/week
  • High School: Roughly 30 hours/week

Pay: $25–$27/hour (based on experience), paid weekly
Location: 100% on-site – 1 school site in Glendale, CA
Job Type: W-2, Full-Time or Part-time

About the Role

Inclusive Learning Partners is hiring a committed Behavior Interventionists BIs to support students with severe disabilities at a public school site in Glendale, CA. In this role, you will work either 1:1 or within a classroom setting, assisting students with significant physical, cognitive, and emotional needs. You’ll collaborate with the classroom teacher and multidisciplinary team to provide instructional, behavioral, and personal care support, helping each student reach their educational goals.

Ideal candidates are compassionate, team-oriented, and experienced with intensive support needs, including behavior management and personal care.

Required Qualifications

  • HS Diploma Required
  • Completion of 48 semester units or 60 quarter units at an institution of higher education OR Associates degree or higher
  • 1 year experience of working with students with Special Needs
  • Must be CPI or NCI Certified
  • Valid CA Driver’s License
  • Must be comfortable with Toileting & Diapering in all ages
  • Must be attentive, professional, proactive, dependable and responsible
  • Experience implementing Intensive Behavior Intervention techniques
  • Experience observing & charting student behavioral data
  • Ability to lift and physically assist students as needed

Key Responsibilities of the Behavior Interventionist:
1. **Instructional Support:**
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering individualized instruction to students with severe disabilities.
- Implement lesson plans and activities as directed by the teacher, using a variety of instructional strategies and resources.
- Support students in developing academic, social, and life skills.

2. **Behavioral Support:**
- Implement behavior management plans, under the director of a BCBA, and strategies to support positive behavior and address challenging behaviors.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
- Monitor and document student behavior and progress, reporting any concerns to the teacher or relevant staff.

3. **Personal Care and Health Support:**
- May assist students with daily living skills, including feeding, toileting, grooming, and mobility.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students by providing necessary physical assistance and monitoring.
- Administer medication and medical procedures as trained and directed by healthcare professionals.

4. **Classroom Management:**
- Help create a structured and supportive classroom environment.
- Set up and organize materials and equipment for daily activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe learning environment.
- Work closely with the classroom teacher, special education staff, therapists, and other support personnel to coordinate services for students.

5. **Record Keeping and Documentation:**
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including attendance, progress, and behavior reports.
- Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and resources.
