Job Title: Clinical Psychologist (Child and Adolescent Trained)

Location: William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Department of Behavioral Health, 18511 Highland Medics St, El Paso, TX 79918

Work Schedule: Monday Friday, 0730 1630 (8-hour shifts, not to exceed 40 hours per week)

Qualifications:

  • Education: PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program. Completion of an APA-accredited internship.

  • Experience: Must have practiced within the last 2 years; specialized training and experience working with children and adolescents.

  • License/Certification:

    • Active, unrestricted license to practice psychology in any U.S. state or territory.

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Other Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations through clinical interviews, testing, and collateral information.

  • Establish diagnoses in accordance with DSM-V criteria.

  • Provide evidence-based therapy for children, adolescents, and families (CBT, client-centered therapy, problem-focused psychotherapy).

  • Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions.

  • Provide crisis intervention for children and adolescents experiencing acute psychological distress.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in AHLTA/MHS GENESIS in compliance with DoD and MTF standards.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, LCSWs, and psychiatric technicians for comprehensive patient care.

  • Provide consultation and education to other medical professionals regarding child and adolescent behavioral health issues.

  • Participate in case conferences, peer reviews, and interdisciplinary team meetings.

  • Support family-centered care and assist in rehabilitation planning for patients.
