Job Summary
The Medical Assistant/Intake Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to patient care. They will provide clerical support including typing correspondence, reports, and documents; maintaining filing systems; and coordinating daily interoffice activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
- Demonstrate compassion, responsibility, and cheerful attitude.
- Certified Home Health Aide certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in medical chart preparation, review and audit.
- Track the completion of clinical notes.
- Assist in insurance authorizations for patient visits.
- Assist with office intake, including scheduling patients, calling patients or physician offices, ordering durable medical equipment (DME), coordinating lab draws, faxing, and performing other related tasks.
- Coordinate systems and procedures with medical records, data entry, claims review and personnel functions to ensure efficiency and accuracy in operations.
- Monitor systems, identify problem areas, and develop and implement action plans.
- Control, monitor, and order office and medical supplies.
- Prepare and conduct inventory control reports.
- Demonstrate a desire to set and meet objectives and to find increasingly efficient ways to perform tasks.
- Perform job in compliance with agency policies and procedures as well as community and professional standards.
- Communicate necessary information to Supervisor and management team to ensure coordination of services and activities.
- Perform other related and assigned duties.

Salary Range: $27 - $29.50 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive compensation package includes benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional development.
