Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health challenges. Duties

• Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with psychiatric disorders.
• Monitor patient behavior and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
• Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate medical records.
• Conduct patient observations and document findings in accordance with medical terminology standards.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive outcomes for patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, including those with disabilities.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities related to psychiatric care.

Qualifications

• Experience in psychiatry, nursing, or behavioral health is preferred.
• Familiarity with acute care settings, corrections facility medical clinics, or hospital experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient monitoring techniques is essential.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and effectively.
