Responsibilities:
- Provide individual therapy to patients in an outpatient setting, both in person and virtually.
- Offer family, group, and couple’s therapy as appropriate.
- Develop and implement therapeutic modalities based on the best interests of the patient.
- Conduct thorough assessments using DSM-5-TR, including screenings, diagnoses, and care planning.
- Collaborate with patients to identify strengths, barriers, and psychosocial needs.
- Work closely with community partners and emergency medical/psychiatric service providers to ensure patient safety and care continuity.
- Utilize electronic health records and telemedicine platforms for documentation and virtual meetings with colleagues and patients.
Qualifications:
- A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a strong desire to work with underserved populations and those facing significant barriers to care.
- Mission focused and passionate about improving access to quality mental healthcare.
- Proactive and thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Possesses cultural humility and values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Comfortable working independently in a group setting while also seeking support and consultation from colleagues.
- Possesses extensive knowledge of DSM-5-TR and utilizes initial interviews and screenings to provide diagnoses and care planning.
- Collaborates with patients, and effectively communicates clinical impressions, while assessing strengths, barriers, and psychosocial needs.
- Ability to interact and collaborate with community partners and emergency medical/psychiatric service providers to ensure patient safety, including whether a patient needs a higher level of care.
- Possesses computer/technology skills to efficiently document using an electronic health record and conduct telemedicine visits, as well as communicating/meeting with colleagues virtually.
