About Job

Looking for Associate/interns who are registered Social Workers (ASW), Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFT) or Professional Clinical Counselors (APCC) providing mental health services for children and their families, adults and couples. New Beginnings Child, Adolescent and Family Counseling Inc. is growing rapidly and is looking for excellent therapists to join our team in a upscale private practice setting. We are open Monday-Friday from 9am-6pm and Saturdays depending on therapist's availability. This job opportunity allows a therapist to have FULL CLIENT/PATIENT FOCUS to provide quality services. Let our receptionists and administration worry about the scheduling, rescheduling, cancellations, billing, taking payments, organizing and scanning documents.

Therapists provide clinical assessments, care planning, counseling, make proper referrals and other psychotherapeutic services in a private practice setting for mild to moderate clientele. Clinicians are expected to work independently but also function effectively as part of a service team. This job is Located in Modesto.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology or a related field with AMFT, APCC, or ASW registration with BBS.
  • Proficient in behavioral therapy and mental health counseling
  • Experience with patient assessment and care, adhering to HIPAA regulations
  • Knowledge of medical documentation and terminology
  • Skills in crisis intervention and motivational interviewing
  • Familiarity with child and family counseling, particularly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Engage in clinical research to stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in therapy.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for mental health diagnoses is beneficial.
