We are seeking a dynamic part-time College Admissions Counselor to guide our students. This role requires a positive, confident, and energetic individual whose contribution will be pivotal to the success of our College Counseling Program.

Job Description

As a college admissions counselor, your primary responsibility will be to guide and inspire our students, helping them reach their full potential. This will involve various tasks, from assisting with college applications to creating academic plans.

Expected qualifications, knowledge, skills, and experience include:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field
Have previous counseling experience with MS/HS Students
Be fluent in English, including excellent writing skills
Have a patient and friendly demeanor
Help students create multi-year academic high school plans
Help identify and suggest extracurricular activities (for the school year and summer)
Create time management and study plans for students
Use student preferences to target appropriate colleges to apply to
Work with students to apply to colleges (Form completion, essay brainstorming, and revising)
Familiarity with academic advising practices
Familiarity with MBTI and Strong Interest Inventory Assessments
Public speaking skills are a plus
