Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will play a crucial role in providing behavioral therapy and support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. This position involves implementing treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, assisting clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), and collecting data to monitor progress. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong understanding of behavior management techniques.
Hours: Mon-Fri 3pm-6pm
BT: From $25
RBT: From $30
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
- Assist clients with ADLs to promote independence and improve daily living skills.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior changes accurately.
- Teach new skills using ABA techniques, reinforcing positive behaviors while managing challenging behaviors.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and medical documentation.
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral health practices.
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities or autism, is preferred.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with special education practices and patient care standards.
- Ability to understand medical terminology, medical records, care plans, and documentation requirements.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
