As a trusted behavioral health organization committed to providing care in the community since 1955, we offer an array of comprehensive services for youth, adolescents, and adults. Our Supervised Residential Program (SRP) offers structured housing with 24/7 support for individuals requiring intensive mental health care and assistance with daily living.
Job Scope: Provide direct support to clients by assisting with daily living skills, case management needs, and crisis intervention. The role involves active participation in treatment planning, maintaining accurate documentation, monitoring medication routines, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Staff collaborate with team members across shifts, facilitate scheduled and unscheduled activities, and connect clients to appropriate services as needed. This individual upholds agency policies, contributes to a presentable and therapeutic facility, and promotes client well-being through consistent engagement and support.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide rehabilitation services, contribute to and develop treatment plans and manage crisis for all residential clients
- Provide medication monitoring and community support
- Handle referrals and discharges for residential services
- Assist clients in obtaining/maintaining entitlements
- Contribute to and develop treatment plans and manage crisis for all residential clients
Performance Requirements
- Establishing rapport and maintaining supportive contact with client.
- Assessing and counseling clients in psychiatric crises and activating emergency procedures as appropriate
- Providing case management, supportive counseling and rehabilitative services including instruction clients on ADL and social skills
- Assisting in the training and orientation of new staff
- Knowledge of agency policy and adherence to agency procedure.
- Ability to value diversity, accept differences, apply cultural knowledge, and adapt to different cultural contexts.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human service field or five years of Mental Health experience; we will also consider hiring an entry level RSA which requires a minimum age of 21, high school diploma, and skills in the field of services to adults
- Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license, auto insurance, automobile, and a willingness to transport clients as necessary
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 3:30pm – 11:30pm (40 hours a week)
