  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education services
  • Develop evaluation reports, behavior intervention plans, and recommendations for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling for students with emotional, behavioral, or cognitive challenges
  • Serve as case manager for students receiving psychological services
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student growth and classroom success
  • Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations
  • Offer staff training on behavior management, emotional development, and mental health best practices
  • Consult with outside professionals such as psychologists, psychiatrists, and community agencies as needed
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and school regulations and ensure accurate documentation
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Psychology from an accredited institution
  • Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) in Texas
  • Minimum of 2 years providing psychological services in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of evaluation procedures, prevention/intervention strategies, and behavior management practices
  • Strong communication, organizational, and consultation skills
