Job Description- Support Coordinator
I Position Title: Support Coordinator
II. Reports to: CareNow Management
III. Qualifications: High School Diploma, or equivalent. Must have strong data entry and computer operations experience. Good oral and written communication skills necessary. Experience in health care processing very helpful. Must possess management ability, self-starter, work well in demanding environments and assist with daily office operations.
Summary of Duties: Responsible for providing customer services, coordinating services, managing facility contracts, credentialing new providers, handling crisis calls and responsible for day-to-day office management . The individual is responsible for designing, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, as well as streamlining effective referral processes.
iv. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to nursing facilities, Clinicians, Psychiatrists and other agencies. Provide information regarding services, crisis intervention calls, or other information as necessary.
- Responsible for answering phones, coordinating services, and communicating with staff
- Responsible for ordering, maintaining and delivery of supplies used by staff.
- Responsible obtaining the referrals from facilities, and sending referral list to the assigned clinicians and psychiatrist. Maintains progress note tracking sheet and provides follow up to ensure resident are activated by clinicians/psychiatrists.
- Responsible for entering new referral information and updates into the database.
- Responsible for entering face sheets and posting payments.
- Responsible for tracking Nursing facility contracts on file and obtaining the renewed contracts from facilities annually.
- Responsible for verification of credentials of all clinicians and psychiatrists.
- Report problems or concerns to management that may directly impact the integrity or delivery of services. Identify ways to correct issues.
- Plan and coordinate functions for staff.
- Seek assistance and direction from the management to maintain efficiency, effectiveness and appropriateness of daily activities.
- Identifies ways to improve services, operations and systems. Participates in implementing new services, ideas and projects.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with all staff members, nursing facility staff and other agency representatives.
- Actively participates in Quality Assurance activities, including meeting attendance, and policy and procedure revision
- Assume additional duties as necessary.
Skills/Experience:
1. Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid credentialing2. Knowledge of computer programs (excel, word).3. Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.4. Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment.5. Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system.6. Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.7. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public.8. Must be well organized and detail-oriented.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
