This part-time social work opportunity supports elementary students by providing essential social work services in a school setting near Geneva, IL. The position involves delivering individual, group, and classroom interventions to address students social and emotional needs, ensuring holistic support throughout the school year.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Offering direct social work services tailored to student needs through multiple modes of delivery
  • Planning and implementing support services that foster student well-being and academic success
  • Developing and executing IEP goals, maintaining accurate records of all services provided
  • Conducting social emotional evaluations, social histories, and Functional Behavior Assessments to guide intervention planning
  • Creating and managing behavioral support plans such as Behavior Intervention Plans and Problem Solving Plans
  • Collaborating closely with IEP team members to address behavior management and program adjustments

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in school social work or related settings working with elementary-aged children
  • Proficiency in conducting and interpreting social emotional assessments and functional behavior evaluations
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and behavioral intervention strategies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to student-centered support and continuous professional growth
