Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


A full-time social worker is sought to provide comprehensive support services within a K-12 school environment. This contract position spans the current school year, with a leave period from November through March or April. The role requires traveling between schools in the district, serving students across various grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver social work services tailored to K-12 student needs across multiple schools.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized support plans.
  • Conduct assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to enhance student well-being.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with relevant state and district policies.
  • Engage in ongoing communication to support student progress and resolve challenges.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Minnesota Board of Social Work license.
  • Prior experience working as a social worker within school settings.
  • Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across several schools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical practice.

Location: White Bear Lake, Minnesota (serving Northeast Metro 196 district schools)

Employment Details:

  • Contract duration: Current School Year (CSY).
  • Full-time hours with paid travel between schools.
  • Position includes a scheduled leave from November to March or April.
