A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support K-12 students in a Columbia, SC school setting. This is a contract position for the current school year, offering the chance to make a tangible difference in the academic and emotional well-being of a diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students learning and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop effective intervention plans
- Provide counseling and crisis support to students as needed
- Interpret assessment results and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Promote positive behavioral supports and strategies within the school environment
- Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with district policies and state regulations
- Valid School Psychologist certification/license for South Carolina
- Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, special education laws, and evidence-based interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
- Columbia, South Carolina serving a K-12 public school
