Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to residents, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Administer medications as prescribed, monitoring residents for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and individual preferences.
- Uphold resident rights by advocating for their needs and preferences within the community.
- Assist with memory care programs tailored to residents experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident care plans, progress notes, and any incidents that occur.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each resident.
- Previous experience in residential counseling or similar roles within assisted living, nursing homes, or home community care is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and memory care best practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with resident rights and senior care regulations is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff members.
