Qualifications:
● High School Diploma, equivalent or higher
● Completion of an approved Behavior Technician training program

● Ability to collaborate with colleagues in supporting students.
Work year: 183 days (180 school days, and 3 professional days)
Location: SSEC/Out of District
Reports to: Program Director / BCBA
Responsibilities:
- Can collect and maintain data (or model the collection and maintenance of) about the performance and behavior of individual students and consults with the BCBA and teaching staff about student performance and progress
- Under the supervision of BCBA, provide direct ABA service as assigned (or model process for classroom staff) by implementing skill acquisition, maintenance programs, behavior protocols, and/or behavior intervention plans for individual and/or small groups of students
- To be directly responsible to the BCBA for activities related to behavior management, instruction and program implementation
- To participate in relevant staff development workshops, training sessions, meetings, and/or other activities organized by the school and district
- Participate in and maintain certification in WELLE (or appropriate crisis prevention and management program as identified by the District)
- To assist and work under the supervision of the teacher in:
a. Providing individualized instructional services
b. Preparing instructional materials
c. Organizing instructional areas
- Assist students in activities of daily living as appropriate (feeding, toileting)
- To participate in program evaluations and needs assessment procedures
- Uses appropriate strategies, accommodations, and modifications to support all students.
- Be familiar with student individual, classroom-based, and school-wide behavior management systems. Safety Plans, Health / Medical Plans, Individualized Education Programs (IEP), and any other documentation assigned by their supervisor
- Any other school wide schedule, routines, and procedures as assigned by the Supervisor.
- All other responsibilities as assigned by the program director or coordinator within reason.
Mandatory participation in all of the following SSEC or district-sponsored trainings to include but not limited to:
- Successful completion of SSEC-approved physical management trainings full and/or recertification, annually as appropriate.
- Maintain active CPR/First Aid certification.
- Successful completion of all SSEC-approved threat assessment training
- Completion of Behavior Technician training under a licensed BCBA
